Floral Lane Cards

Hey everyone!  I cannot believe it's Wednesday already.  This week has just flown by and I have a feeling that it will be like this all summer.  So much to do, so little time to do it all in.  Anyone with me on that?  LOL!

Well I did want to pop in and share a few cards that are up on the Pebbles blog today.  I created these cards using the new Floral Lane collection.  Oh my this collection is just so ... PRETTY!  And the paper has this really neat linen texture to it that is just so much fun.  Here are the cards I created ...

Well that's it for me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Pebbles Inc Design Team Call

Hey everyone!  Just wanted to share some information about a GREAT opportunity.  I have been the Pebbles Inc Design Team Coordinator for 2 years now and absolutely LOVE my job.  If you love Pebbles products and want to be part of an amazing team (if I do say so myself! LOL) then keep reading ...

We're thrilled to announce the call for the Pebbles 2011-2012 Design Team! We're looking for talented and committed designers who love to create with Pebbles products.  To apply, email pebblesincdt@gmail.com with the following information:

  1. A single paragraph telling us about yourself. When did you start scrapbooking? How would you define your style? What do you love about Pebbles products? Are you on any other design teams? Have you been published before? Be sure to include your name and hometown. Help us to get a good sense of who you are and your paper crafting history. Please note that previous design team experience is not required.
  2. A link to your online gallery and/or blog so that we may see samples of your various paper crafting projects. If you have a scrapbook resume we’d love to see that as well.
  3. A scan or photo of 2 scrapbook layouts, 1 card, and 1 other type of project that showcases your style. We’d prefer to see projects that utilize Pebbles products, however all applications will be considered.
The deadline for all applications to be received is July 29, 2011. The individuals chosen to join the team will be notified via email and the new team will be announced here on the blog in early August. New design team members will serve for 1 year beginning in September 2011 and will be required to submit 2 monthly assignments.

Further questions may be directed to pebblesincdt@gmail.com. Good luck everyone! We’re excited to see your applications!

Freedom Festival

Hi everyone!  Just wanted to share a layout with you that appears in the August 2011 issue of Scrapbooks Etc (out on newsstands now!).  I originally created this layout for the Pebbles Inc blog so almost all of the products used are from various Pebbles collections

The Freedom Festival is an annual event held here in town.  We love remembering our nation's birthday (as it so happens my birthday is the day before! hee hee!) and there's no better way to celebrate than with good friends at the local parade and carnival.  I took tons of pictures that day but chose to highlight some of my favorites (10 in all) on this two page layout.  One trick I've learned when creating layouts with lots of photos is to convert some of the pictures to black and white - it helps to cut down on the overall "busyness" of the photos and keeps your layout from getting too overwhelming.

And here are just a few more detail images of the layout that you won't see in the magazine article ...

You'll notice that I replaced the "o" in "freedom" with a dimensional star sticker.  Truth be told that was not my intention when I started to lay down my stickers.  I quickly realized that I was running out of room for my title so I stuck the star down instead of the "o" since it took up less space.  I thought it looked cute so I left it - don't you just love happy accidents?

That's all for me today.  I hope you're all enjoying this beautiful Father's Day weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

BPC Guest Blogger

Hi everyone!  I have a fun project to share with you today.  A few weeks ago I was asked to be a guest blogger over at Big Picture Classes.  If you're not familiar with BPC you should really check them out - they offer tons of inspirational classes and workshops as well as an amazing blog full of inspirational ideas and projects.

For my project I created a Travel Log using the Daily Junque collection by Pink Paislee.  This mini album was so easy to create yet it really packs a punch as it is filled with lots of pages for journaling, adhering photos, and places to save memorabilia.

To see more of the album and read about how I created it head on over to the BPC blog.   There is also a giveaway on the blog so you'll definitely want to stop by and check it out!  :)
